Hi Charley,
Please read the owner's manual for towing a Trailer with your Ranger. The key info is the GVW and the GCW of the Ranger and Trailer combination as towed...How much load in the Ranger and how much in the trailer. This is where the Truck Stop scale is your friend. Do not guess... Weight it...Truck, Truck and Trailer, and Trailer. Scale operators are generally cooperative to give you the data you need.
