I am looking for suggesions on tonneau covers. Here's what I have so far,

- hard top, to both support stuff getting set on it and no flutters for long road trips
- retractable is cool but I would prefer not to have a big drum in the bed, because,
- must be inside the rails to support a bed tent. A perk of the hard folding is that the final section can be left in place as a shelf inside the tent.

So far I have found the quad folding Gator EFX, but I'm not sure what benefits it has in a 5 foot bed over a tri fold.

Any input is helpful!

I have a Napier Sportz tent and there is some max dimensions for a retracted tonneau cover. I think it's in the FAQ in the Napier website. Exceed them and you risk water leakage into the truck bed and floor of tent at the bed/cab interface. Essentially there has to be sufficient tent material to go over the cover.
I have a Lorado Access rollup cover.

Right, sorry, Gator FX I believe is the quad fold. I can't really tell a difference other than the quad fold retails for $800 over the $600?

Thanks, very helpful! It's either go with a Napier Sportz full bottom and check the clearances as described, or go with a bottomless tent like the Rightline 110766 that would fit over and around the tonneau.
