my cousin has a couple. He lives in the mountains on the Ky Tn border an I think he gets up in the hills away from the lights an gets some good results.

I actually worked for Orion Telescope back in the mid 80's in Santa Cruz CA. I helped design some of their drive correctors for the Celestrons with the synchronous AC motors.. Personally I had an 8" Dobsonian along with a bunch of eye pieces, some filters and what not. I foolishly sold mine and haven't been active since other than going to the Oregon Star Party a couple of times.

Nice, yeah I need to get back out and start using mine again. You guys inspired me so went out last night and the viewing conditions were horrible so as soon as we have a clear night I’ll get my scopes out.
