I'm curious to know if anybody has adapted Tacoma A-pillar light pod brackets to work on our trucks. They are substantially less expensive than the ones purpose made for our trucks.

I have a set of the hood mounted Tacoma light brackets on my 2019 Ranger. The work just fine.

The issue is that these cam off my 2013 Tacoma. They were made by Fab Four. I can post a photo of the brackets, but they do not have a PN.

Actually that info is very helpful. I think around 2015 or 2016 the brackets change.

Try them out and report back, amazon has a good return policy.

another option i am thinking is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B931B3...colid=M80K7OMJEBG4&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
I'm not too crazy about the idea of using those clamp on style mounts. I'm concerned about them pinching or dimpling where they clamp around the hood, or become loose and marring the hood or sliding off.

I'm off the idea of ditch lights for the time being. I may revisit it later!

Update - I did not take into consideration the crazy wiper arms at full swing they hit.

Ouch! I hope you can maybe make some kind of adjustment to the bracket, or something!

The could be cut and welded. I just mocked up a set that mounts on the hood bracket but moves the light toward the outside of the truck.

Just found out the same. I am just going to adjust the wipers so that they don't hit the mount. It will limit the wiping of the windshield, but I don't think it will be bad.

Did you end up getting the wipers adjusted?
