Is it possible to have a plain old-school metal key cut to open the doors that I can put in my wetsuit when surfing. It doesn't need to start the truck, just get me in. I would leave the key FOB inside. Would also like to put a copy of said key under the chassis for same intent when I am in remote Mexico. Does this sound do-able. Thanks

Yep, totally do-able. Just need to find a locksmith that can cut you a blank.

Another option is to get one of those little keypad openers that Ford has, pop the damn thing inside the gas door so it's not hanging out there in the breeze, just put in the code and the doors open. IIRC they are about $100 and you'll have to get a dealer to code it to your truck, not sure if it's possible with just a forscan.
