That is interesting, not sure if it is causation or correlation. Any other factors that you can think of?

Nothing else was changed. I had gotten those messages maybe 2-3 times a year since the truck was about three years old, then I suddenly was getting them every few days. That's what made me decide to pull the trigger on the new battery. As soon as I started up after replacing the battery I could tell the engine was running smoother, and I haven't had one of those errors in the ~2 months since I replaced it.
