Rotated the tires on my old truck and went for an oil change the next day. Right out the gate the kid at the 10 minute oil change joint looks down and says, "looks like you need a tire rotation." I basically responded, "just change the oil ."

At the county gas pumps a juve probation officer was filling his vehicle. He had a juve with him and when he said he needed a quart of oil the juve said I will do it. The kid proceeded to fill the Eng. totally full with the oil nozzle on an overhead reel. As he drove away the car was engulfed in smoke. A later check of the computer on the oil said he put 26 qts. in the engine.
The nozzle on the oil reel had a dial that indicated 1 thru 4 in a clockwise fashion. Many county drivers thought that once around was 1 Qt. We had to do alot of drain and throw away of Engine oil.

My dads engine blew on his Buick. He payed someone to put a rebuilt 350 in it. When it was due for it's first oil change I did it in the garage. They apparently put a 305 in it and not the same 350. We had already had the oil and filter on hand prior to the engine swap. Filter went on fine. Filled it with oil and when I walked around the car I slipped in fresh oil and landed on my back in the oil. The filter gasket didn't seat on the smaller V8 and it all drained around the filter!

Another time a friend got a job at a Firestone store. He put a brand new high dollar Cadillac on a lift for an oil change and didn't have it balanced. It fell off the rack forwards. Bent the frame 45 degrees at the firewall, he got fired on his first day, before he had a lunch break!
