Has anyone done Slick Rock in Moab with their Ranger? I’m sure they have but what setup and results? I had a 4 inch lift F150 FX4 that did well but haven’t tried my 21 FX4 Ranger yet, it’s stock.

I take mine down all the time. The Ranger does absolutely amazing so long as you have the right tires and a decent lift. Im running about a 3.5in lift with sliders and skids, using 315/70R17s. No high clearance bumpers yet. The rear only takes a small beating lol. So far have been able to do Hells Revenge, Poison Spider, Elephant Hill and Fins n Things.

Yeah I don’t have lift. I was wondering about a stock setup. I know it will limit where I could go. I’m a little old for a lift anymore, my wife has a problem getting in already so that’s out.

In that case, your truck should still handle slick rock and inclines under or around 20 degrees. I took mine down a few times when mine was stock, which being the Tremor only has about a 1.5in lift from standard and 31.5in tires. Not a huge amount over a 4x4. It did very well going on routes such as Hurrah Pass and the route to Gemini Bridges. Hurrah was just recently dozed again so that would be perfect. However I recommend for your case, the other side over in the swell by Goblin. That area offers great off road trails without the need for lifts and anything crazy. Lots of cool mines too!

You'll be fine on Fins and Things. You could probably do Hells, but will drag you ass in a few places.
