Should I lock my truck doors while in "neutral tow" and being flat towed?

Last step in setting vehicle in Neutral Tow on my truck says:

"9. Leave the transmission in neutral (N) and switch your vehicle off by pressing the push button ignition switch once without pressing the brake pedal or turning the key as far toward the off position.​

Note: Vehicles with keys do not turn to the off position when the transmission is in neutral (N). You must leave the key in the ignition when towing. Use the keyless entry keypad or an extra set of keys to lock and unlock your vehicle. ​

10. Release the brake pedal."​

Now, for safety consideration, is it acceptable to then lock the vehicle's doors (via Keyless Entry Handle) while traveling with truck then in tow?

That is what I have been doing since 2019 when flat towing my Ranger....

Maybe that’s what they meant but it does read “release brake pedal..
