Before I had my Ranger I ordered the shockworks sliders so they would show as soon as I had my new Ranger. At the time of order they were running 30 days to deliver. I researched many sliders from white knuckle off-road, RRW relations race wheels, and rocky road outfitters to name a few. It all came down to the mounting system used.
These are sliders that are meant to support the weight of the vehicle as it slides or crashes down on rocks. The cardboard box they come in weighs 200 lbs and is shipped as freight which add close to $200 to the cost. Final cost as you see then is just under $1000.
Very easy to install, provides enough of a step to stand on, very strong at 68 lbs each. Quality of the welds and powdercoat are excellent.
I passed on the white knuckle because there is only a vertical mounting plate for attachment in their website pics. The shockworks have underneath horizontal plates that support the weight from underneath and also vertical plates that hold against the face of the frame. The RRW slider are very nice and have a kick out but are not made to the super cab.
