This might be the dumbest post on this forum. I have not tried it on my Ranger but is there a rev limiter if you press down gas pedal while in park? The old rangers has 3k RPM limiter.

It does have a limiter if floored in park. Between 4500-5000 rpm is where it bounces. But it’s a real slow bounce, so it sounds real awkward lol. You can find YouTube videos of Focus RS owners doing it with our same 2.3 for an idea of the sound.

All of our police packages (Ford, Chevy & Dodge) had a speed cutoff based only on MPH. Chevy & Ford wasn't drastic. It would just not go faster, the Dodge in both my Charger and Durango would hit whatever the speed was set at and fall on its face, which from a driving instructor perspective wasn't good because if you need 2 more mph to avoid a crash it took a few seconds to get back to speed. I always just stayed a few mph below the threshold so I had wiggle room.
