Hey everyone , last winter my 2021 ranger went into limp mode , took it to ford, they kept it for nearly three months , changed the turbo actuator and everything was fine.

Now the following winter , went into limp mode. I was in Northern alberta at the time , my truck was caked with snow/ice , it was sitting in -40 degree weather for a week ot so , so I put it into my works garage to thaw out for the night.

The next day when I started the truck it was out of limp mode , as I started down the road the check engine light started flashing , truck started bogging, when I checked my mirror I saw a huge cloud of white smoke coming from the exhaust. Once it all blew out the truck ran fine for the rest of the 10km drive.

The following day I drove home , roughly 700km without an issue.

Truck sat for two days in my garage . Went for another drive , same thing , bogged down , white smoke , flashing engine light , then when it all blew out , it drove fine.

I have to go away for work for a week before I can get it Into ford.

Anyone have any similar issues ??

I'll update after I hear from ford.

After reading more post on here , I plugged in my code reader again and now I'm getting the p0303 code for "Cylinder 3 misfire detected"

I had very similar issues. Im in Alberta also lol.
Turns out many of these can get ice build up in the accelerator body.
There is a recall from Ford that's supposed to fix it. I got it done yet it still happened to me. I may have got water in somewhere though when I blasted the engine with a wash.
They took it apart and found water which would have been ice earlier. They dried it up and it runs great again for now. But all the issues with turbo and cylinders misfiring were all issues I experienced.

Ended up being the same thing with my ranger.
