Your alternative is to run the lights off a relay and have the marker lamp tap being the trigger wire for the relay. That will solve any power draw issues.

Seems like some of these light sets are drawing too much current to use the side marker circuit.Ahh I see, yeah I used the y adaptor and all and noticed 1 light was unplugged and it worked just fine, so when all three were plugged up I would hear a click after a few seconds and side markers and grille lights shut off I know its the lights and it must be outputting more than the side can handle, im new to this kinda stuff, maybe get someone who knows all that mess to hook it up like that, miss the good ol days with older vehicles being so easy hahah thank you man! Like my old s10, can take the truck down to bare bones with a handful of tools haha
