Nearly found out the hard way that 59” Rhino Rack Vortex Aero cross bars require a minimum track width of 39.5.”
As installed by Snugtop on my Snugtop Rebel canopy, the optional Yakima tracks are 36.5” apart.
The 54” Rhino Rack Vortex bars will work, by virtue of where the landing pad/feet install on the bars, but you can’t scoot those feet in further for the 59” bars.
I’d wanted the extra overhead mounting option with the 59.” The Rhino Rack literature doesn’t mention this, I found just one very thorough and seemingly credible review on etrailer.com that explains this very problem and provided exact minimum width measurements. I contacted etrailer to confirm but never heard back. Ordered the 54” which was $100 off - in silver - so lucked out in price.
I doubt too many will find this helpful but thought I’d share.
