ProCal Issue

Every couple of months I plug in my ProCal to my laptop to check for updates. Today the software updated to 2.970, but now the device says “registry error” and does not show my stock or performance tune files. Has anyone else had this issue? I’ve restarted the device, computer and tried other USB ports.

I will try again in a couple days and try to contact Ford Performance on the issue and see if they can help.

Just curious, did you ever get this resolved? If so, what ever happened?

I just bought my tune, downloaded the software and went to update the tuner but I’m having the same issue, registry error. Tried different USB ports also.

I contacted them by phone and talked to a guy about what was going on. After I had proof of purchase, I was contacted by another guy who was able to fix it through my computer remotely with the ProCal hooked to it. There were some hoops to jump through, but it all got sorted out. I don’t plan on trying to update it again though lol. To me, the guys I talked to seemed like impatient north-easterners (no offense to anyone lol), but they were easy to deal with since I knew what I was talking about.

Appreciate the reply back. Just got off the phone with them, luckily mine was an easy fix. I'm from the northeast lol and they still sounded aggravated that I called.

Procal unit is now updated, just have to install the tune on my truck next, hopefully later today I can get it installed.

I was born in the 80’s and been through the Navy (hurry up and wait) I know patience all too well
