I’ve seen other posts on here about quality stuff from Redline goods. I went on there to see what they have and was looking for a leather steering wheel cover to cost less than an oem wheel from ebay around $300. They don’t carry any wheel covers for our trucks but the site said to email them. After a few emails, I asked about replacing the door panel armrests with leather and extra padding as they do for the center console armrests. So today I am taking off my driver door panel armrest to mail to them and see what they can do with it.

1. They will be adding steering wheel covers for plastic wheels on our trucks. Might fit the other wheels too idk. And
2. I am the lone pioneer in the project of making our front door panel armrests not suck. Might work, might be a waste of time/$

Will report back

The red arrow is where I told them I’ve had two rangers that both squeak right there, idk if it will help them or not

oh yeah, mine also squeaks from that arm rest spot. Looking forward to how it turns out for you, now that I have gotten most of the mods I wanted on my truck... it never ends for me and tinkering.

I'm so happy about adding the optional leather steering wheel when I ordered mine...

Good news: I am 99% certain we can do this armrest now. I just removed the door panel for the second time (the first time one of them bandits broke my driver window out) at least it was voluntary this time. At first glance it looked like the armrest was bound to the door panel material right above it. I found T20 screws on the back side of the armrest behind the white sound deadening stuff. Only one hole needed cut to get on one of the screws.

I will also have to send in the passenger side as the window switch is a different size. My smooth brain just realized this. Should I do the back armrests as well?

So does mine, built on the other side of the world and they still can't get it right.

This actually looks like a DYI Project:

Pick a fabric of preference (Leather)
Some Sew Foam or Scrim 1/4 in or just some upholstery foam

Pull the OE covering off, determine what size staples are being used for OE attachment
Then rewrap it with the new foam and fabric, may need to leave the area around the switch (thin) to allow the assembly to still snap down into place and also the front tab to allow it to wedge into the door handle. The inboard side should compress enough (not to show any fabric bulges)

Now the steering wheel cover is different, sewing involved
