What would cause the hose and clamp to come off the coolant tank? My truck overheated today so I went to put antifreeze in it and it was coming out, so upon looking at it the hose was off, is that comon?

This is the first Ive seen here of overheating or clamps coming off. Sounds like it was not tight or it stripped. The heat and hose swelling with pressure would probably pop it right off.

GM supplied me lots and lots of POS clamps to install over the years and were, IMHO, garbage. Guess nothing changes over time, or manufacturers...

Did you happen to change or check the air filter lately? I noticed when I checked mine and swapped the filter that the overflow line really gets flexed from removing the air filter cover. Wished Ford would have repositioned that line for sure.
