Hi all
Been driving my ranger for around 3 monthes an 20000km. Have experienced problem with temprature readings. Last couple of weeks readings had simply disappeared resulting in ACC stoped working. Living in a colder parts of the world it is kind of nice to have ACC working even though one could adjust it manualy.
However after a couple of times readings could not be red a CEL appeared on the dash. At first i thought it would be something else, but through the ford app connected to the vehicle i got a message that "outer temp sensor has failed. Contact dealer"
Called a dealer and they told me its a common issue. Its kind of important sensor not only for the ACC to properly work but also for the on board ECU since its using signal for cars cooling system and so on. Therefore one will get a Check Engine Light
Last picture is from the APP and is in swedish, telling that sensor has failed.
Sometimes sensor start working showing +10dgr C while its -7dgr C outside. Check engine light is staying on.
