Absolutely - they were being lazy for sure but that seems to be a perennial issue these days unfortunately.

So there is nothing about gender neutral bees in this bill?! What the world coming to, especially this MONTH

Yeah if the lawmakers really wanted to be precise there would be special protections for Trans gender bees as in observing bee behavior I'm inclined to belive they are treated unfairly. So perhaps the criticism of the CA legislature is warranted , bees should have rights after all.

On a more serious note I occasionally peruse the state of co website and look at what new bills are being written, some are so far removed from common sense it's disturbing but most are killed before going to committee, never making it to the ballot. I can only imagine what it's like in CA, I'd add that over the years the number of laws and regulations are constantly growing.
