tbh it doesnt take much to build one if you find something on marketplace already started or a military trailer. just gotta do some digging around and see what people do.Two smaller manufactures I want to check out in person are Warhorse Overland in CO and USHI Outdoors in NC. Both have decent sounding ones somewhat under $10K. Have seen the bigger name brand ones at Expo’s, but most of those push close to $15k for a starting point. USHI has a brand ambassador program and there is one about 3 hours from me. Their’s are Aluminum and I like the idea of that. Have had Aluminum skid plates on a Subaru for over 7 years and they are holding up really good .
Edit
Forgot to mention Smittybilt (I know will probably get a lot of bad feedback) seen one a few years ago on the trails. Talked to the guy and he was ok with it.
Would love to build one, but do not have the space or tools to do it correctly.
the m416 and m100 you can get a weldless rack that you drill holes and bolt it right onto the trailer tub it self and boom good to go. now its not sealed true but that can be a slow thing until you find the right shop to do it. i didnt make the top on mine i paid a shop to do it lol
