Hey forum, let's discuss!

What off-road event have you actually been to that’s worth it? Or maybe… one that didn’t live up to the hype?

Big expos, local club meetups, weekend trail runs, overlanding gatherings — it all counts.

Got something to share?
Photos, videos, or just your thoughts — all welcome. Share whatever feels useful or real, and post on Wolfbox Community.

It could be:
  • The vibe or atmosphere
  • A moment you still remember
  • A lesson learned
  • A packing list win (or fail)
  • Something first-timers should know
  • Or just your honest take
On March 30, we’ll pick a few standout posts to receive a limited Wolfbox x EJS Swag Pack, shipped to your door.

I haven't been to any events of the sorts, but I suspect they can go good or bad depending on what you may be expecting and what actually happens. At the same time it can be with the individuals you deal with.

Now I have done a few different small group runs on a few trails. One was with my old 1993 Pathfinder running with another Ranger. The others were with my 2012 Frontier running with another Frontier and an Xterra. The last was still with my Frontier and running with a jeep Wrangler. If anything the runs were a bit fun. Most were simply a day run. One was over a couple days on the weekend.

Other then that I usually head out on the trail by myself. Makes it interesting when no one else is able to go with.

I haven't been to one myself but my brother has. Overall - Frenchy's evaluation is correct.

Some can be slower paced and more like car shows. You show off, take pictures, and lightly overland. These can also be excellent for learning as you're guaranteed to have more experienced folks to get you unstuck.

But for some the slow pace and stop-and-go nature of group offroading is a turn off. For those types I'd recommend a smaller, more focused group. For example a rock crawling or mudding group instead off over landing.
