Mint is great and Ubuntu I used for years too. Although for my money you can't go wrong with Temple OS. The creator was a genius who told people CIA agents glow in the dark and that you should run them over with your car.

I just use Win8.1 and Start8 (or 10 nowdays) and what else. Makes the UI Win7.
