Yes - I think the issue is a combination of both.As I understood the latest TSB was to address the F clutches wearing into the un-anodized outer shell. With the updated outer shell now being anodized and supposedly harder could the updated clutches and plates be a different steel material more compatible with the anodized shell and not so much the friction material being changed?
The outer shell (Trash Can) gets nicked or galled from the friction plates, they hang up and then burn up, the prior TSB’s only had a revised can this TSB adds a revised set of plates along with the can.
I can assume some kind of material change - to match the can (fitment)
