New sync update

Since I don't have factory Navigation in my truck, does the new update version: 3.4.21020 even need to be installed?
Just wondering. TIA

I would say no you don't need it. I don't have maps either, upgraded and my android auto was a bust. Minor things like more detailed Sirius xm info and so on. But I lost functionality of my android auto. I use it religiously. had to factory reset my phone. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't do it. I have had no real visible difference in the update. Imo
