That does look interesting! I've got a question for those in the know. The Mountune offering will come with silicone charge pipes. In my mind, these should be superior to aFe's metallic pipes because of silicones low thermal conductivity. What else should I be considering? (I'd love to see the flow rate numbers)

Looking at the pics in the link it looks like it will replace the hot side of the charge pipe up to the factory silencer just after where the BOV is. So where the step down is in the factory charge pipe is will still be there with this kit.

I was wondering if the items pictured were final production or just an example. As they did not have any visible fittings, I'm waiting on a reply from Mountune for clarification.

The Ranger IC kit only replaces the silicone hoses going from the intercooler to the next hard pipe connection. Our IC kit does not replace any hard pipes or pieces that have EVAP/PCV/BOV connections. So they are not comparable to the AFE charge pipe kit, and will not work with the factory intercooler.

Now it's time to reach out to Mishimoto to see if their upcoming intercooler will be compatible with the aFe charge pipes.

"We'll be honest, we still have a lot of work to do before these start shipping - the pre-sale likely will not start until December of this year.
