This would get a second look for sure from me. Call it the Maverick Whirlwind as a dig at the GMC Syclone and it gets a third.

May as well just buy the Hyundai Santa Cruz with the 2.5t if you want something that garish and with decent performance.

From a structural standpoint there's not much likelihood that something like this will exist. Since the Mav is a unibody vehicle, it's not as simple as just shortening the wheelbase and putting a different body on it. This regular cab/regular bed Mav would require a full ground up redesign of the vehicle structure. And with the overall lack of interest in single cab trucks in the industry, the amount of investment required for a full redesign would likely not be recouped by the small amount of sales.

Just speaking from a logical engineering and business perspective.
