Hi all

I have a ranger limited 3.2 with 106000 miles on it. I was driving home the other day then all of a sudden total loss of power. Like someone had just cut the throttle cable. The engine just idles but the engine bay fills with smoke and has dumped all its oil somewhere. Has anyone got any ideas? Many thanks steve

Agree with all of the above. One simple thing to check. Did the oil filter spin off? It's not common, but I have seen it happen and it will dump all the oil in moments. Unfortunately, your engine is probably irreparably damaged regardless of the cause.
