License plate bracket bolts

Does anyone know what size bolts fit into the captured nuts for the front license plate bracket? I purchased a lower grill insert and it uses the factory bolts but my truck did not come with the bracket.

Pretty sure they’re M6 x 1.25 thread. 10mm hex head. 90% sure on the 1.25 thread pitch

Hi Steve,

M6 commonly is 1.00, not 1.25... M8 is usually 1.25.... I do not have front license plate required and have no idea where in my house the front license plate hardware is now....

not sure on the thread or length etc but im pretty sure its a 10 mm head.

That’s the thing I was doubting. I have the bolts as I added the front plate bracket so I could mount a front camera on it. But I don’t have a metric thread pitch gauge otherwise I would verify it. I bought a 5 pack of them but the bag’s not marked either ?‍. Most likely 1.00 pitch if that’s the most common.

@TonkaFX4 - I just went through this. Got some black M6 1.00 x 20 at Lowe's with some 6mm washers and worked like a charm. I also used for installing Putco lower grille.
