Hey guys currently my 2019 ford ranger lariat does not have the 2.5 leveling kit in the front yet, and right now my tires are 265/65/18 kenda klevers on the stock lariat rims, after I add the rough country 2.5 leveling kit woulf 265/70/18 tires be just fine without any cutting/removing anything?

Anyone have other brands of tires you have used other than bfg ko2/3 cause they are stupidly expensive i liked the look for the venom's but hear mixed thoughts either good or crap, i checked around the forums but anyone who posted about 18 inch rims 17s were brought up and took over the thread lol thanks for your time all!

I have Eibachs set to about one inch of lift in the front. I went with Wildpeak AT4 in 255/70/18 and have been very happy with them. I have plenty of room. The size you are looking at is 1/2” taller and wider than what I am running.

I went up 3/4" in the front with Eibach Pro Truck shocks and struts and went to 265/70R17 Continental Terrain Contact A/T. Nothing hits anywhere. Very happy with the set up.

I don't know if Ford has fixed it, but there are reports that leveling kits can introduce driveshaft vibration because it increases the angle the U joints must accommodate between the transmission and rear wheels.

Can confirm reports are true, but not limited to lifted/leveled trucks... as I an many others on here will preach, Tom Wood's driveshaft is the way to go. Buy once, cry once... better than fighting with the dealership

Just the facts. One might be able to tilt the differential up a couple of degrees to try and compensate. That wouldn't do anything for the u joint at the transmission tho.

It's possible this actually happened to me on my 2019 2WD Ranger. I had Ford install the Fox 2" level. And very soon after began trying to chase a vibration that increased as highway speed increased. Changed tires, balanced and rebalanced and rebalanced them again, no joy. Had Peoria Ford look at it repeatedly, again no help. Ultimately traded for my 2021 4WD.

The facts are that a *leveling kit* in no way shape or form affects any angles between the trans and rear end lol.

And how would you arrive at that incorrect conclusion. If you raise the front and not the rear the engine and transmission go with the front. That increases the angle between the front and the rear. This is well documented and it can cause driveshaft vibration because the more angle put on u joints the worse the vibration can be. This is because u joints are not constant velocity joints.

Again.. a leveling kit IN NO WAY affects driveshaft angles.

Ffs.. someone could completely remove the entirety of their front suspension.. letting the truck sit on the ground on its front bumper.. and driveshaft angles would be affected not one bit.

Drink some more coffee my dude.

Chucklenuts lol.

The elementary school rhyme of 'im rubber, you're glue..' really doesn't fit any situation better than this one you've decided to create for yourself.

You posted an article about lifting/leveling the front end of something with A SOLID AXLE...

.. the damn article literally has the same level of relevance to the topic at hand as the Lord of the rings trilogy does.. potentially even less ??‍♀

I say this with as much respect as one can give someone who's stooped low enough to start name calling when they've been called out for spreading misinformation... you don't know as much as you think you do. Perhaps you're just a troll? Idk.

Once again.. simply lifting the FRONT of an IFS vehicle does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to ANYTHING between the transmission/transfer case and the rear axle.. and it does the same exact amount of NOTHING to the shaft between the transfer case and the front diff..

Ive hit my limit of arguing for the sake of fact though so.. I'm out ✌?

@Truthofval .. don't listen to Mark.
