1. Unbuckle the driver's safety belt.
2. Unbuckle the front passenger's safety belt.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (do not start the engine).

It would be easier and safer just to buckle up when you drive:0

Thanks. I’m the same. I always wear my seatbelt when traveling. Just don’t wanna do it on my farm when I’m constantly in and out. Is there a trick like this to disable the horn honks when shutting the doors while the engine is on?

i think you can fix that in forscan (search the forum for forscan and you'll find tons of help). i got mine to stop chiming when i open doors while truck is running that way. thru forscan I was able to fix most of the seat belt noise but not all and this one drives me nuts because even though i always put on my belt i turn the car on first so it chimes at me.

Seat belt extender. Leave it in and it won't chime.

ok after some experimentation i have a couple notes/
like it says in the instructions you have to wait a Long time for the seatbelt dash lights to go off.
my 19 xl has the small non touch screen
What i found out the long way was first the lower white seatbelt light goes off/ you have to wait about another full minute for the upper red seatbelt light to turn off, then do the 4 buckle process.
It worked but: i was hoping for even less chimes but it turned out i had already turned it off in forscan and this turned it back on, had to do it again... oh well...
When off, it will not chime if for example you are driving, stop, take off belt. start driving again.
BUT In the end it appears there is No way to stop it from chiming when you first turn on the car. Very annoying to me as i get in, put key in and then put on belt. It always dings at me. No way around that with forscan or this method.

1. Set the parking brake

2. Transmission in park

3. Ignition off

4. Close all vehicle doors

5. Unbuckle front seat belts driver and passenger

6. Switch vehicle on. Do NOT start

7. Wait for seatbelt warning lamp to turn off (about 1 minute) Wait for an additional 5 seconds.

8. For the seating position you are switching off buckle then unbuckle the seatbelt 3 times leaving the seatbelt unbuckled. The seatbelt warning lamp will turn on. When the warning lamp turns on buckle then unbuckle the seatbelt. The warning light flashes for confirmation. NOTE: *This must be done within 60 seconds*

Repeat to reverse OFF or ON
