Ok so I know I post a questions about things that already well established threads but I’ve only recently joined and this page has been very helpful and informative especially when you’re looking for information on your specific inquiries so thank you to everyone who contributes! So I’ll get to it

I’d like to know about leveling. Mainly just to get rid of the rake provided the cons don’t out weigh the pros. I’m not currently interested in bigger wheels or tires however I would like slightly more aggressive tires then what comes stock on a FX4.

Questions/concerns are the ride/mpg how are they affected? What are the options? ( different shocks/struts, spacers, etc.) Installation. How hard what really has to happen.(probably should be done a professional right?) PRICE. Im sure this can range greatly so what factors should I pay attention to to determine my wants/needs?

Overall pros and cons. Other than aesthetics what does it improve and at what cost (what is negatively affected). If there’s anything else I didn’t ask about good or bad please let me know. Thank you all SO much

There lots of options on leveling. I decided on the Rough Country 2.5in coil overs. They come as a complete unit new springs and struts. I ordered them from Stage 3 Motorsports. They were less than 400 for the set. I wanted them to get rid of the rake and to have a room for larger tires in the future. I live an a very flat area and don’t do any significant off-roading. It’s dirt roads and mud holes driving on logging roads. They did increase the overall ride quality and helped minimize the nose dive under breaking but changing the rear shocks also helps with that if you have an FX4 like I do. If I planned on doing serious off roading I would have probably went with Bilstein, Old Man Emu, Eibach etc. But so far mine have held up fine. I had the dealer install them with my Ford pass points. I was quoted 680 for install and alignment. With the pass points it only ended up being 70 dollars.
