I'm installing King coilovers and I'm threading the body down as instructed to get my 3 inches of lift. The thing I don't get is, it seems like I'm permanently sacrificing 3 inches of spring travel so I can have this lift. Seems kinda crappy? Am I missing something? Is there a better way to do this?

Closing the loop on this, adjusting that ring for height adjustment proved unnecessary. The shocks already come ready to go. All the lift I was looking for came preconfigured.

But yes, the only way to get more height is to preload that spring even harder.
