Please see the attached PDF for symptoms of low and high levels of each electrolyte used by your body. There will only be positive effects if you stay within the normal serum Potassium range of 3.5 - 5.0.
This is a great write up, thanks! I was looking over the .pdf and noticed that 'fatigue' is a very common symptom, it appears 11 times.
I think diarrhea should be added to too much magnesium. I was taking it for leg cramps but went through about 2 years of trying to figure out why I kept having the shits. When I finally figured it, it was a blessed day! I can't even eat magnesium-rich food, like a kale bowl. But I also just recently was tested and found I am low on calcium. Just started a supplement to go with my D3.

Thank you for the kind words...

If you are taking calcium, be sure to supplement with K₂. Vitamin K₂ plays an important role in where calcium goes in your body — it doesn’t raise calcium levels directly, but it helps direct calcium into bones and away from arteries.

Also note the relationship of Vit D with calcium.

Vitamin D increases calcium absorption from the gut.

Vitamin Kâ‚‚ helps direct that absorbed calcium to the right places.

Think of it like this:
  • Vitamin D = brings calcium into the bloodstream
  • Vitamin Kâ‚‚ = tells calcium where to go
You may simply be low in Vit D, 20-30 is OK according to most accredited sources. My doctor says stay between 50 and 60.

We are all different enough to make things interesting. Doctor says we know this much (his thumb and finger about 1/4" apart) and the human body.

There is a ripple affect from everything you eat and every med you take. Lots of permutations - almost incalcuable. He uses tests, but says the best barometer of health is "how do you feel?"

I like his openness and honesty.

Than you very much for taking the time to do this. I do love greens, sweet potatoes, and especially white beans. Your write up made me curious about my numbers so I went into MyChart and looked at my last test (see attached) because I had’nt really paid attention to them because she told me there was nothing she was concerned about. Pretty much everything was in the green range, which must be a miracle for me or I’m just lucky, and what was out was only a few points and I go back for my CBC in May. I saved that document you sent and thank you again.

Your numbers look great.

Note your potassium level is 5.3. I'll wager that it is artifically high as the technician didn't wait 40-45 seconds after the needle is inserted and tourniquet removed before filling the vile.

You were probably slightly dehydrated too, or had a mild infection based upon your HCT and WBC numbers.

These are all guesses on my part. So take them with a grain of salt.

You are exactly right on both. She did not wait and I was fighting a sinus infection.
