im not saying the spacers do not work as claimed, but if they do make a positive difference they likely have a negative side also. maybe more low end but less top etc. I typically lean toward the attitude that manufacturers do not leave easily made low cost power or efficiency laying on the table without reason. so if something as simple as a spacer could bump up mpg or hp you can bet ford would have put one on at some point. vs. something like a tune, that is proven to have good results and in some cases supported by ford, but they are not cheap.
