I am looking at the Husky Liners Hood Protector High Profile/Bug Shield. Reviews on Amazon aren't great but I figure 4 stars is good for anything that requires more skill than opening a box. If you have one, how well has it lasted and does it actually keep bugs from meeting their demise at eye level on your windshield?

I'm not familiar with the Husky one but I have the AVS bug shield and it's been great. I had it on my '19 and transferred it to my '23 and super easy to put on. It'll probably take you longer to get it out of the box than instal it. lol So far I haven't had one rock hit my windshield but now that I've just cursed myself I'm sure one will tomorrow.

Just don’t drive where @TxOTRRanger drives and you should be good. Poor Clay has it rough there.

I’ve had “bug deflectors” on my other Rangers and I can’t really say they whether or not they deflect many bugs but they do protect the leading edge of the hood from anything that might otherwise hit it - bugs, sand, salt, stones, etc. My current Ranger has its share of war wounds. Might get the Aeroskin II.

The Husky and AVS are identical in my observation. Installed one from Ford a few months ago, and now one from Husky, No instructions, but easily figured out. Different vehicles, by the way!
