I've just purchased my fourth ranger, a new 2019, and am disappointed that it doesn't have a CD player. I commute about 80 miles several times each week and listen to audio books on CDs from my local library. I have a USP corded CD/DVD writer for my laptop. Can I somehow plug this into the Ranger's USB port and listen to my books? Is there another work around that doesn't involve pirating each of the library's discs onto a thumb drive? Thanks.

I haven't heard of any luck using the Bluetooth CD players. You can try the USB one you have now and see if it'll detect it.

  1. Open Windows Media Player (WMP) and.
  2. Insert Music CD.
  3. Click on the Rip Tab on WMP and choose.
  4. More Options.
  5. Options from the Tools menu.
  6. In the Options window in the Rip Music tab.
  7. under Rip Settings, choose MP3.
  8. after it is ripped, copy to thumb drive and plug into truck

Buy a big thumb drive. Format is in ExFAT. Load the files, and listen away!
