A man's worst nightmare.

No nudity, no profanity, but probably NSFW

Edit: Probably LOTS of profanity if anyone around speaks Filipino.

Definitely not safe for a guy to view unless you are very brave.

Warning has been given.

Holy what the hell Batman, why's that damned thing still alive?!?! Hopefully it didn't break the skin

Sorry, I got distracted pasting a page of S & H Green Stamps that I got while shopping at Woolworths...

Re #16, How is it that we used to have men whose full time job was to deliver milk in a glass quart or half gallon jug with a paper pull tab lid right to your door and pick up the returns, all at a reasonable price?

When I was a kid our milk man just walked in the house and put the bottles of milk in the fridge. Only time this changed was when he went to Cougar Connie's that was her real nickname, and he would be there longer than other stops on the route. It was very scandalous at the time the whole town suspected he was putting more than the milk in the fridge.:giggle:

There were 6 kids in our house in the 60's. We drank so much milk that our parents had one of these in our kitchen. The milk man delivered the milk in cans like in the second picture. Picked up the empty and replaced it with a full one.

I guess we didn't know that the milk man was the grand father of DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats.

In the 70's-80's the local grocery store called* each residence three times a week and took up the shopping list. Then they collected the items, and back ordered stuff which was not on stock, and delivered it to the customers.

With a recent developement with Internet technologies and advancements in logistics, we have now been able to do the same for few years.

wait..

* = This was actually banned at some point. The enhancements in laws (here in Finland) banned direct marketing and horizontal (multiple shopkeepers pooling up) operations and only generic marketing and vertical operations were allowed. In a sense this was someone's grand idea on how to transfer from "Shopkeepers own the chain" to "Chain owns the shopkeepers".

With some lobbying and creative wording during the legistlation process, some people who didn't have a stake in the actual store process, made a lot of money. And this is why here in Finland you don't see independent streetcorner markets like in other european countries.
