Who knew the internet could be used for something so profitable and not just hanging around R5G all day. ?
The Internet. The greatest invention of all. (In my opinion)

Hanging around any type of forum has its pros and cons. I've learned many things about my Ranger here. I was able to purchase items I didn't know existed. Then you have the trollers. (Sheesh)

As for using the Internet to make a profit, I would have done it if the Internet was around when I was a kid. I'm to lazy now to find items to sell. Or using a hobby like restoring things and making money from YouTube. I'll just stick to driving a tanker until I retire.

Yes the internet is one of the greatest inventions and for me it's a love/hate relationship.

You have a lot more products available which can be a good thing but also there's (sometimes) too many and can cause information overload. I've been going through this for months now since I've been having to look up many items for the new house. Try looking up a basic countertop microwave on Amazon which you'd "think" would be simple. Nope, there's so many and every single one has bad ratings (many melting inside and catching fire) so bad I've even raised the price I wanted to spend and bought 3 different ones and have returned all within a month. Ceiling fans and bath lights are my latest adventure and that's been trying too. I've always bought Hunter fans but most of them have bad - so so reviews now but I think I finally found one that'll work but not after spending days looking. It took me weeks to find kitchen appliances and most of this is because just about everything made now is junk and disposable.

I've said this before that social media is terrible and will be the death of this country if it already hasn't been. Everyone is a critic and has an opinion now and we all know what opinions are like. I follow a couple different YouTube financial people and love to read the comments and see others experiences but the spammers have now ruined it. Every video has someone saying something like "I was broke then found this great FA who helped me turn my finances around etc..." Then you'll get other spammers who ask who it is and it's always a scam and they're everywhere now. Also with AI they can created a username with a large history/likes to try and fool you which is very common in the political articles/forums.

And someone made a video about this very topic. Small world we live in.

I bought the 40 inch Mitsubishi CRT when it first came out. Over $4k and about 250 pounds. It was a monster. Then I got the first Direct TV box for over $1k by waiting in line all night and had account 00010 with them. I used to be stupid and try to be the first to get new technology at ridiculous prices.
So one of my new CRT’s was so big, it wouldn’t fit in the TV cabinet. I don’t know if this made me a videophile, or a redneck. Great for letter box format though. From 2007.

When the limits of CRT came apparent, here in Finland we switched to projectors. You could buy two or three projectors (tri-bulb, one for each color, at that time) for price of large CRT and get 100" screen.

Time to switch back to screens was about or around 2010, when you could get 86" LCD for less than 20k.
