Not really a joke, but a segue from the above post.

This was given to my father by my grandparents in about Christmas 1921. It's a Buddy L which was preceded Tonka Toys and was located in Moline, IL. It steers and the tailgate works. My brothers and I got to play with it as a small boy at Papa and Gramma's house. We grew away from it soon enough, my folks moved to California, then my dad moved to Maine after my mom died then back to California. My youngest brother stayed in CA. most of his life, and now retired from the USPS he will be moving somewhere in the Mid South. After having been sequestered in the dark in various attics, basements and storage sheds on both coasts for several decades, He brought it to me this past fall.

Today This Papa will be passing it on to the fourth generation.
Somehow, it is fitting that the last remaining heirloom from my side of the family is a Ford Truck!

I dunno....they're right over her eyes like pretty much everyone else's are.

At least they're not completely plucked out and repainted back on.
