For the branch (yellow) which stuck to that pine when he tried to pull the tree with the truck first time, the solution would be to rotate the log a bit with a felling iron. Wedged rotating hitch might not have enough momentum to actually work in that slot.

Unfortunately there's no evidence of the lower right sector canopy, which might be a better slot.
