Just a heads up - you may want to check this on your truck. The plastic wiring harness anchor just above the alternator has a sharp point that has come in contact with my lower radiator hose enough to wear a hole in the hose. You may want to check your hose! (This is a view from below, while lying on my back looking up, radiator to the right, alternator to the left)

You can see the JBWeld I used as a temporary patch on the hose, to get me into my closest dealer. It's holding, but who knows for how long.

As a beautiful side note, that particular hose is on back order, with no date for fulfilment. Yikes!

The Australian 3.2 diesel models had an issue where the fuel lines to the high pressure pump on the engine would rub on a coolant hose until it holed and dumped the coolant. Quite a few engines were lost until Ford issued a TSB, then a recall to install a clip on the fuel hoses to keep them away from the water hoses and to change the water hose if it was worn. Of course then, lower hoses were in short supply!
Later cars came with the clips from the factory. Mine had them on already, really, a crappy little plastic clip that probably cost 20 cents to make saved a $8,000 engine. Why did they not leave the assembly plant that way, it should have been perfectly obvious that the two hoses would rub.

Has anyone else had this issue? Could it be something loose allowing to much movement like engine mounts?

Edit: just realized the threads 2 years old. ?‍♂
