It takes a real man to reveal his FUs. When I was old enough to know better I replaced rear brake shoes. I forgot the "one side at a time" rule and replaced one adjuster backwards. I spun it to take up the slack and drove for several months. .....until the pistons walked out of the wheel cylinder. I was 90 miles from home when I lost any braking. Fortunately it was mostly interstate, so park brake, down shifting, and the occasional key-off in gear got me home. ...a skill I learned 40 yrs earlier when I only owned POS cars.
