Anyone try any of the aluminum skid plates from ASFIR?

Made for Euro/Africa spec PXIII, but I'm hoping someone else here has been brave enough to order and can confirm fit. I messaged them and they were unable to give me any assurances about fitment.

I know the guys on the Jeep JL forum love these. They're one of the top sellers there and everyone says how well made they are and how great they hold up too. Shipping was surprising fast too. If I end up getting a skid, this would be the one I'd get.

I love how they're almost entire aluminum which should be awesome for weight savings compared to steel options. I'm also pretty sure they might be one of the only manufacturers that does a fuel tank skid...

Good to know people like them on the JL—I'd love to find out about fitment before I order for the Ranger.

Yeah I wouldn't want to take a chance and it didn't fit because return shipping would be a lot. I'm surprised they couldn't tell you if it would fit the Ranger or not? Hopefully someone comes along and has one on their Ranger because these are really nice skids and lightweight but durable.

They claim that they can only officially confirm fitment for the Euro-spec PXIII. Not surprising, since they all have engine and fuel options that are different from the US-spec. I imagine the frame is probably pretty same-same, but that the different shapes/placement of driveline elements might interfere.

They're a sponsor on the JL forum and I'll message them and see what they say. Maybe there's someone there that can give me a better answer? I'll let you know if I hear back from them.

We sell a Shrockworks skid package that is all aluminum with just the radiator skid (which you can omit) and crossmember being steel.

I did get a response from Asfir today and it was similar to what that told you. Seeing as Chris from @OffroadAlliance has the Shrockworks skids you'd be better off looking into those. Shrockworks makes really great products and you'd be supporting a forum sponsor too.

From Asfir:

Hi!
We haven't yet tested our plates for a 2019, only through 2018. Here's a link to our website.
As it seems like 2019 is a new generation, I doubt there will be a perfect match.

We're looking into prototyping skid-plates for the Ranger but there isn't really a set date to start with the process. I encourage you to check-in every once in a while here ot at asfir.com for new prodects and updates.

Best,
Reut @ ASFIR

I installed the aluminum shrockworks skids (kept the stock tremor radiator skid) and cam confirm they are super high quality. No protection for gas tank but all the other important bits are well protected.

Much appreciated @AzScorpion! I'm happy to help anyone who's looking for more info on the Shrockworks skids. I have their sliders on my truck and they're awesome. I've put them through a beating and they've held up strong.
