I know most are doing turkey today but we just don't care for it as much as we use to. Plus we eat chicken a lot every week so this year we're doing Italian. Last year was Annies choice and she did a Mexican theme so this year I made baked ziti with salad and garlic bread. It takes a good 2 hours just to prep it and there's 2 layers of ziti & meat sauce in each pan plus I add sweet Italian sausage to it. Now it's into the over and hopefully ready in about an hour.

That looks soooo good!?

We actually had our turkey dinner Sunday while my grandson was here. Today, we just grilled a couple of steaks. (I’m turkeyed out?)

Looks good Dave - all it needs is some cheese curbs and sliced keilbasa on top. ?

My most favorite Thanksgiving meal was when I was about 20 & my dad came up from New Orleans & prepared a Cajun meal for all of us. Many delicious dishes I had never had before. He was a fantastic cook.?

I love Cajun food! I dated a girl a long time ago from LA and she made the best Jambalaya I've ever had. Now that we're closer to LA we want to make a trip down there and see the area.

We should do a 5G meet up? We could eat everything in sight and get hauled around in the bed of our trucks. lol

Sounds good to me!
We’ll have to be real careful about parking at Jackson Square. Many years ago, my sister & I parked on one of the side streets. When we came back, my car was gone. Someone had stolen my car! Freaked out, I called my dad. He asked if I had parked in a no parking spot. I looked & low & behold it said no parking! Now I was young, but not stupid. I never would have parked there if it said no parking. I mean, we all know from watching cartoons that those signs can be changed. Hello…?

I would've thought they saw it parked crooked and said" let's teach her a lesson and tow this car". :lipssealed:

All these years later and guess what? You never learned! ?‍♂??

I have a dutch oven recipe for Jambalaya that I cooked for the adults when I was doing scouts - it is a GREAT camping meal and it is easy to cook. You can adjust the heat up or down depending on how much tabasco and red pepper flakes you put in it too....
