I have yet to get to the drag strip or even pull off a good draggy pass yet. Mine is 4x4 and has a locker. I get decent launches in 4wd as well as 2wd with the locker. I have clamps on the front part of my leaf springs that seem to really help traction in 2wd. My mph should be a little higher in 2wd. My truck is a heavy, loaded Lariat so it’s never going to be fast. I keep thinking about maybe building a stripped supercab to race but I don’t think it’s a smart financial decision.
Mine was a 2 WD, I would try to launch in both 4and 2. It would get a better launch in 4 but the extra drag might slow you down. If you are tuned, use 25 lbs of air. 2wd spins like a bitch. You need sticky tires and a good burn out.
Super Nice !We do a few things at the shop…. I don’t get enough time to go to tracks these days because I’m always working on everybody’s stuff. The silver ratty 86gt is mine, it’s a single turbo on a PiMPxs ecu. The rest are random shots of our builds.
