GIA GPS in Sync 3?

Has anyone figured out how to include this nav app into the main screen? Currently, I have Waze which is great for city surface but having GIA off grid during off roading would be fantastic...why doesn't Sync allow this?...

The iOS app has a beta available that can run in CarPlay but that appears to be the only option.
