I think it'll depend on which version because it seems like they're shipping two different ones. I'll try to get a picture of mine later.

Right, and that's my point. I'm curious why they changed the design... I mean, the early models had no bracket, then they had a bracket, and now no bracket? Seems strange. I don't want to suggest they are shipping old stock, but it seems strange to me.

I'm guessing I got just old stock and the model with the bracket is the new design.

Perhaps. Back when I bought mine in April there was a long delay in shipping because of low stock. Maybe they found some old old stock and shipped it to you. Who knows?
