FX4 front skid plate and transfer case cover install.

I just got my FX4 front skid plate and transfer case cover from Ford. Easy install on my 2021 Ranger LX 4WD STX. It took about 1 hour to remove the air dam and the original small skid plate then install the FX4 skid plate and transfer case cover. Make sure you get the bolts for the transfer case cover. I have the small original skid plate if someone wants to buy it.

What exactly is the difference between the black skid on the regular 4x4 and the silver fx4? Is it thicker? Wider? Stronger? Trying to decide if it’s worth it. I know it extends out further to meet the bumper.
