I thought the only beer in Australia was Fosters??Just settling down to a few cans of something I bought last weekend on a whim. Some craft brewery special commissioned by the liquor store chain that I bought it from at a (relatively) bargain price. Wasn't expecting much, but this stuff is actually really, pretty good! Must go back and buy a couple of cartons more! Wish I knew which craft brewery made it now, as I would seriously look ant some of their other products.
Bud light is quite common I hear all across America ?A common misconception similar to the one that says the only American beer is Bud. Fosters in fact is a very average beer that you hardly see for sale in reality because it fell out of favour in the 1990's.
Perhaps, however there are many many breweries in Australia most of which make much better beer. We have mainstream brands of course, and they predominated until the 1990's and were never bad, then the government loosened the regulation of breweries and this gave birth to an avalanche of better beer from microbreweries concentrating on quality rather than cost, and volume. May we never go back.Bud light is quite common I hear all across America ?

I have been slacking lately, not even sure why really ? ...Went out to dinner with sister and B-i-L tonight, couple Irish brews; a Conways and a St Fattys, with dinner then off to a local microbrew for a nice light ale. Now settled in at home with a good old Blue.
