More recalls for something that should have been taken care of, before the vehicles left the factory.
Why am I not surprised?
Which is also why I continue to research the OBS Ford trucks, specifically F150s and Rangers.

That was my first thought when I saw this yesterday Mike. I was out all day and saw it from my phone (I hate reading things from my phone) and just now had time to read the article from my laptop. It looks like it's the wiring harness and not the engine that's causing it.

Ford says it's aware of 15 field incidents where a fire in the engine bay originated from the wiring harness. The investigation details are also rather interesting, in that seven of these 15 fires were from Bronco Raptor models. Ford attributes this over-indexing of Raptor models to the additional movement between the engine compartment wiring harness and surrounding components. This introduces more chafing of the wires, ultimately resulting in them being exposed to short circuit. Meanwhile, vibrations from the non-Raptor Broncos were found to result in wear levels of the wiring harness that could still expose the internal circuits. In this same investigation, Ford inspected over 80 Broncos and found evidence of rubbing and chafing "in a small number of the inspected vehicles."

The fix is a relatively straightforward one. All recalled Broncos will have convolute sheathing with abrasion tape installed on their engine compartment wiring harness at the dealer free of charge.

Farley is going to have the dealership services do a ROADKILL style side of the road repair, instead of fixing it the right way.
That Guy never learns.

To my knowledge the Broncos aren't cheap. Not that anything is cheap now a days. Jmo

It's almost like they've done this before. Let's fix the CDF drum but leave the valve bodies alone.
